The opposition has recently united in demands for the dismissal of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Martina Dalić.
Thus, SDP member of parliament Željko Jovanović stated that he expects Prime Minister Andrej Plenković to relieve Dalić, thereby showing that he cares about the interests of citizens and solving problems in Agrokor.
Jovanović pointed out at a press conference the, as he said, “lack of transparency regarding lex Agrokor, the manner of adopting and implementing that law, and the lack of accountability from the extraordinary administration under the patronage of Minister Dalić.”
He also claims that “Minister Dalić has shown through her words, actions, and body language that she is the one who leads the main discourse in Agrokor.” Ramljak’s resignation is, according to Jovanović, merely a rescue operation for Martina Dalić, and therefore he believes that, “if Plenković wants to do something useful and show that he cares about solving problems in Agrokor, he must relieve Minister Dalić of her duties.”
Petrov announced an initiative for dismissal
The leader of Most, Božo Petrov, has announced an initiative for the dismissal of the Deputy Prime Minister, stating that this will be an opportunity to show “who among the HDZ representatives and their partners is willing to invest their political capital in her and the interests she represents.”
“The events of recent days, the silence and inaction regarding Agrokor, the resignation of the state secretary for demographics who says this is a folklore government, the embarrassment surrounding the election of the president of the Commission for deciding on conflicts of interest, have shown that this government does not function, and the state is on autopilot. I believe these reasons are sufficient to initiate the process of the government’s dismissal,” Petrov wrote on his Facebook profile.
