Deutsche Telekom achieved 74.9 billion euros in revenue, profit increased by almost 30 percent

Deutsche Telekom Group achieved revenues of 74.9 billion euros last year, which is 2.5 percent higher than the previous year, while net profit increased by almost 30 percent, according to the financial report of this German telecommunications giant.

According to the report published on Thursday, the net profit of the DT group amounted to 3.5 billion euros in 2017, which is 29.4 percent higher than the previous year.

Adjusted EBITDA of DT, the majority owner of Hrvatski Telekom, increased by 4.9 percent to 22.45 billion euros, which is in line with plans.

The group’s investments worldwide reached a record 12.1 billion euros last year, which is 10.4 percent higher than the previous year, with DT focusing on network construction. The company also stated that all financial plans were achieved last year.

– DT continues to grow in its markets worldwide. In 2017, we once again kept all our promises. We want shareholders to benefit from our success, so we plan to increase the dividend for the third consecutive time, said DT CEO Tim Hottges in the report.

The Supervisory Board and Management of DT proposed to the shareholders’ assembly an increase in the dividend for the previous year by an additional five euro cents, to 65 euro cents per share.

The DT Management has been pursuing a dividend increase policy for years, and in the last three years, the dividend has been increased by a total of 30 percent.
