Former workers of TLM Pressing Plant and their lawyer Jere Matić requested on Wednesday the dismissal of bankruptcy administrator Ivan Gjurašić, and asked the State Attorney’s Office to file a criminal complaint against the companies Impol Investments and Impol TLM.
They accuse the bankruptcy administrator of favoring Impol TLM, which promised but did not start production at the Pressing Plant, while on the other hand is interested in purchasing land through its company Impol Investments.
“The privatization of TLM, since the entry of the Croatian consortium, is the biggest robbery in Croatia because with their entry, followed by the entry of Eurisa, i.e., Pejčinoski and Shamis, a debt of a total of 65 million euros was created, with the condition that they were supposed to invest 107 million euros, but they invested nothing, otherwise we would not be on the street today (…). We are demanding about 20 salaries and severance payments totaling 20 million kuna, excluding interest which we will still see if we will demand,” said former union representative of TLM’s Pressing Plant Ivan Svraka.

They criticize bankruptcy administrator Ivan Gjurašić for having signed an annex to the real estate purchase agreement with Impol Investments from 2015, even though the workers had previously requested from him the “annulment of the harmful contract concluded between TLM TPP and Adrial Investments in October 2015.”
Workers emphasize that they are victims of privatization, but are ready to go to the end and have the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, the European Commission.
“However, the bankruptcy administrator not only did not do that, but in January of this year signed an annex to that contract justifying that he had the approval of the creditors’ assembly of TLM TPP for concluding the annex. The assembly’s approval actually means the approval of the majority, and the majority in the creditors’ assembly is represented by the company Impol TLM, which owns the company Impol Investments, so as the majority creditor, it can outvote all creditors at any time, which has been done,” Svraka said.
Today, the gathered former workers believe that this is enough for the State Attorney’s Office to file a criminal complaint against the company Impol Investments, Impol TLM, and bankruptcy administrator Ivan Gjurašić.

They criticize the company Impol TLM, which took over TLM Aluminium, for not starting production at the Pressing Plant.
“Kudos to Impol, they started production at the Rolling Mill, but they did not respect the part to start production at the Pressing Plant. Our proposal was that one third of the workers go to the Rolling Mill, one third to the Pressing Plant, and the rest retire, but it seems that Impol is not interested in production, but is interested in purchasing land, so it established Impol Investments,” Svraka said.
He stated that the bankruptcy administrator of the Pressing Plant did not stand on the side of the workers, but rather on the side of Impol.

“Since he has 1312 bankruptcy proceedings he is working on, it is clear that he is an expert and a specialist, so I would suggest Prime Minister Andrej Plenković to take him instead of Ramljak. In the end, we don’t care what will happen to the land, we are only interested in where the money for us workers is,” Svraka conveyed.
If the Commercial Court in Zadar does not dismiss the bankruptcy administrator from duty, the workers announced they would file a criminal complaint against him.
Workers emphasize that they are victims of privatization, but are ready to go to the end and have the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, the European Commission.
“Still, I hope that the Government will be reasonable enough to express itself and do something to resolve everything peacefully,” said former worker Ankica Grozdanić.
TLM TPP has been in bankruptcy since September 2016, and the estimated value of the company’s movable and immovable property is around 55 million kuna.
