Petrov: If the Prime Minister knew, he should resign

The upcoming meeting of the Economic Committee has motivated several parliamentary clubs to request breaks on Thursday, while the leader of Most, Božo Petrov, is convinced that a “already seen performance” is ahead, Branko Bačić (HDZ) responds that if he suspects illegalities, he should file a report, and Anka Mrak Taritaš (GLAS) calls on the Prime Minister to “come out from under the covers”.

Petrov stated that the Prime Minister should either come out to the public and say he did not know and share dismissals, or say he knew and resign.

– Today, an already seen performance will take place in the Croatian Parliament. The director sets the actors, if it goes wrong, he will blame the actors, if the performance succeeds, the director will win an Oscar. Today we will again have two representatives of the actors in the parliamentary Economic Committee – Deputy Prime Minister Martina Dalić and Ante Ramljak, the Government’s commissioner in Agrokor, said Petrov.

The outcome, says Petrov, is known.

– In controlled conditions, using a series of set questions that create noise, a series of unanswered responses, with an emphasis on the savior’s engagement in Agrokor without concrete, clear information about what has happened in the last six months, people who will watch this will not be able to draw any conclusions at all, said Petrov.

He called the Prime Minister’s silence on this topic a “dumb defense” because he has been silent for almost two weeks, which speaks volumes that they know they have messed up in Agrokor.

But, at the same time, to attack indiscriminately, primarily the Prime Minister or us representatives here, speaks more about you than about us. Therefore, today at 12 o’clock, whatever you have, ask questions, we give you full support for questioning all disputed matters within Agrokor, said the Most representative.

Anka Mrak Taritaš (Glas) called on the Prime Minister to “come out from under the covers” and come to Parliament, telling him that “it is not a statesman’s responsibility to leave the deputy, whatever will be will be”.

– Come to this podium, if you made a mistake, say, I made a mistake, I will continue. But, to close your eyes and pretend that things will resolve themselves, no one has the right to do that, and the Prime Minister least of all, said Mrak Taritaš.
