Heart Festival at Kaufland

On the occasion of World Congenital Heart Defects Week and other heart diseases, a humanitarian entertainment event “Heart Festival” was held yesterday in six Kaufland locations organized by the association Big Heart to Small Heart.

Big Heart to Small Heart is a non-profit humanitarian association of doctors, healthcare professionals, and parents of children with congenital heart defects and other heart diseases, and the goal of this association is to raise awareness about the need for early detection of heart defects and to provide support for timely and proper treatment.

The collaboration between Kaufland and the association Big Heart to Small Heart began in December 2017 when Kaufland customers chose this association as the recipient of a humanitarian action in Čakovec. As part of that project, Kaufland donated 20,000 kuna to the association.

Kaufland joined the Heart Festival to help inform the public about the problem of heart diseases in children. The association set up stands in Kaufland locations in Split, Rijeka, Pula, Čakovec, Zagreb, and Sisak, where young people from Sisak supported this commendable action in a special way.

Namely, children from city kindergartens prepared a special performance and folk dance in front of the association’s stand at Kaufland just for this occasion, successfully attracting the attention of many passersby.

The Kaufland location was filled with laughter, song, and dance, and on Valentine’s Day, February 14, they truly showed a big heart!
