Maras: The Prime Minister is the main culprit for high fees to consultants in Agrokor

SDP representative Gordan Maras on Tuesday accused Prime Minister Andrej Plenković of being the main culprit in the affair regarding high fees to consultants in Agrokor, to which HDZ member Josip Borić responded that he is poisoning the discussions and that this is “not the best way to be a better representative,” for which he earned a warning from the chair Milijan Brkić.

– Eight days have passed since Plenković received the documentation and he can no longer say he doesn’t know, yet he has done nothing. In those eight days, Texo Management and two other consulting firms have invoiced 600 thousand kuna and that is the product of Andrej Plenković’s work, said Maras after the break he requested. He added that a “mumbled response” came from the Government that the Prime Minister had an intense week.

Showing a photocopy of a photo of the Prime Minister and the commissioner for Agrokor Ante Ramljak from April 10, 2017, he stated that it was Prime Minister Plenković who decided to bring Ramljak to Agrokor, and last week, he said, the same picture – a meeting in the Government, Ramljak brings documentation to Plenković regarding the consultants.

Maras: We suspect that Plenković is behind the consultants in Agrokor

– I ask once again how long will the man who brought Ramljak and enabled the hiring of consultants in Agrokor, how long will that man continue to think, analyze, and do nothing, or is what we suspect in the SDP that Andrej Plenković stands behind those consultants, Maras stated.

HDZ’s Josip Borić replied that his performance does not impress anyone and that he speaks untruths and poisons discussions about Agrokor.

– Following your work on social media, I saw that you cried out that you want to be a better representative. I will tell you, both as a citizen and as a representative, that this may not be the best way to be a better representative than you are, because your persistent calling out of certain people on one topic day after day does not help you, the citizens, or Agrokor. And your intensity, nor the tone of your voice in your speech does not impress, Borić told him.

Maras’s discussions, he added, do not contribute to the citizens, Agrokor, or the employees who work to keep that system afloat.

Borić: In your Bundesliga SDP, you have bigger problems than Agrokor

– You in your Bundesliga SDP have bigger problems than Agrokor and what is happening with you is being attempted to be transferred to another area, but that will not succeed. You have presented a series of untruths, accused the Prime Minister of the Government, and we all know that the majority of representatives voted for the law and that it enabled the normal functioning of Agrokor, Borić told the SDP representative.

This law, Borić is convinced, has succeeded and he asked the SDP members if they had “promised someone in some times and want to dismantle Agrokor.” – The stories about the Government commissioner… he is not a government commissioner, but he was appointed by the Commercial Court and he is an extraordinary commissioner and why are you trying to suggest the untruthful thesis that the whole story is led by the Government,” Borić asked Maras.

Brkić: Borić presented a subjective opinion, not the stance of the HDZ Club

The Vice President of the Parliament, HDZ’s Milijan Brkić warned Borić that he was presenting a subjective opinion in the introductory part, not the stance of the HDZ club.

– None of us is invited to evaluate the work of parliamentary representatives, but that will be assessed by voters when the time comes. In the explanation of the break, you must present the stance of the club and not belittle anyone among the representatives, Brkić warned his party colleague.

Requesting a violation of the Rules of Procedure, he repeatedly emphasized that it was Plenković who appointed Ramljak and enabled consulting firms to earn 250 thousand kuna weekly.

– You started nicely in the introduction, then you deviated to a reply. Please do not abuse the institute of violation of the Rules of Procedure, Brkić warned him.
