We announce the most important events from politics and the economy for Monday, February 12:

ZAGREB – The Association of Widows of Croatian Defenders from the Homeland War of the Republic of Croatia City of Zagreb and Zagreb County is organizing a protest due to the arrival of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić in Croatia (10 AM, St. Mark’s Square).

ZAGREB – The Croatian Teachers’ Union will hold a press conference on the topic “Modern Social Dialogue – The Government of the Republic of Croatia has interrupted negotiations through the media.” Participants in the conference include Union President Sanja Šprem, Secretary General Ana Tuškan, and lawyer Mladen Gajski (10 AM, Union Building, ‘Orion’ Hall, Florijana Andrašeca 18A, 1st floor).

ZAGREB – On the occasion of the International Epilepsy Day and the National Day of People with Epilepsy, a forum will be held jointly organized by: The Croatian Association for Epilepsy, The Croatian League Against Epilepsy, The Reference Center of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia for Epilepsy, The Reference Center of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia for Preoperative Processing of Patients with Drug-Resistant Epilepsy, The Croatian Society for EEG and Clinical Neurophysiology, The Department of Pediatric Neurology of the Clinic for Pediatrics KBC Sestre milosrdnice, and The Croatian Neurological Society. It is estimated that currently around 40,000 people in Croatia suffer from epilepsy. Epilepsy is also the only chronic neurological disease that can be cured, especially if recognized in time and treated adequately (1 PM, City of Zagreb Forum, Kaptol 27).

Economy:

ZAGREB – A Croatian-Serbian Economic Forum will be held at the Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK) on the occasion of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Croatia. According to announcements, the President of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, the President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, the President of HGK Luka Burilović, and the President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Marko Čadež will also participate in this meeting. The forum is expected to include representatives from about 20 leading companies from Serbia interested in cooperation with Croatian entrepreneurs (4 PM, Croatian Chamber of Economy, Roosevelt Square 2).

ZAGREB – At the conference “Digital (R)evolution” organized by the Croatian Employers’ Association, the results of research on the state of the digital economy in Europe and Croatia will be presented, along with examples of Croatian companies that have undergone digital transformation. According to the organizers’ announcements, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts Martina Dalić, the President of the Croatian Employers’ Association Gordana Deranja, and the President of HUP-Association of Information and Communication Activities Boris Drilo will address the attendees (10 AM, Atrium of the National and University Library, Croatian Brotherhood Community 4).
