Mr. Bingo, dubbed ‘troll for hire’ by The Guardian, comes to the Communication Days

At the Communication Days, coming from London to Rovinj, we have Mr. Bingo, yet another extremely interesting speaker who stands out with his performance and actions. Mr. Bingo is a top-notch illustrator, architect of successful, controversial projects such as the Hate Mail project, where unknown individuals paid him to send them offensive, uniquely illustrated postcards.

After the success of this project and a couple of similar, one might say absurd projects, Mr. Bingo decided to part ways with working exclusively for clients and companies and to earn a living as a freelance artist.

– The intriguing character of Mr. Bingo is also highlighted by the fact that the prestigious The Guardian dubbed him ‘troll for hire’. He brings to life ideas that many would be ashamed to say out loud, and Mr. Bingo very successfully monetizes provocative and seemingly absurd ideas, building a career on them, said the director of the Communication Days and the festival program director, Dunja Ivana Ballon.

Mr. Bingo is a globally recognized illustrator who earns a living by devising absurd projects such as the one where he sold his own friendship for a year.

In his lecture in Rovinj titled Alternative Ways to Earn a Living, he will take us through the last 20 years of his life marked by a series of successful projects and a few failures, such as attempting to sell a year of his friendship.

Many still do not understand how he manages to do this, but Mr. Bingo earns a living by coming up with seemingly absurd projects. In one of his projects, he rewarded participants of his Kickstarter campaign with house cleaning, getting drunk on a train, sending a queen’s pornographic drawing, or making an inappropriate call on Christmas.
