The conference ‘Excellence in IT Management’ organized by mStart and BMC was held on Wednesday at Kaptol Boutique Cinema, where leading BMC experts from the global software manufacturer in the field of IT processes and services presented all the news in the area of digital management and proactive and intelligent system monitoring. Experts from mStart, together with their clients, shared experiences in the application of BMC solutions and revealed how they contribute to business improvement.

Eric Blum on Multi-Clouds

At the conference, BMC Vice President Eric Blum spoke about managing multi-cloud environments as the public cloud becomes increasingly present in all organizations, central IT faces growing application and infrastructure needs, and becomes a partner to more and more business users. He stated that multi-cloud can contribute to better organization of work and simplify some complex operations.

– I have been with the company for 15 years. In my early days, I was constantly in the field, traveling around the world, in contact with customers, and had the opportunity to understand the real problems people face. For the last five years, I have been the Vice President of BMC. The company has new products, offerings, and we have users around the world using our products. We are constantly working on innovations, so it is no surprise that large banks, companies, and even some governments use our software, which we continuously improve and strive to ensure our users are maximally protected, stated Blum.

– Multi-cloud has 64 million global users, and over 20 million dollars are spent annually on servers, said Blum, adding that 78 percent of people solve complex situations using artificial intelligence.

TrueSight Platforms Help Prevent Financial Problems

Milan Mihić from BMC spoke about the TrueSight platform and AIOps, which he said is the future according to IT analysts.

– Multi-cloud implies hybrid and local clouds. AIOps is a set of platforms and tools that take data from big data systems and make it simple for users. It is expected that the number of AIOps users will drastically increase in two years. Multi-cloud can bring significant savings, but when people move to the cloud and do not control it properly, it can lead to significant financial problems because it was not managed correctly. This is where TrueSight helps because analytics comes first here, said Mihić.
