Industrial Product Stocks Increased by More Than 6 Percent

Total stocks of finished industrial products in December of last year increased by 4.4 percent compared to November, and by 6.6 percent compared to stocks at the end of December 2016, according to data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS).

According to the main industrial groupings (GIG), stocks of capital goods at the end of December compared to the previous month increased by 11.9 percent, and stocks of durable goods for general consumption increased by 7.9 percent. Stocks of intermediate goods increased by 7.1 percent, and non-durable goods for general consumption increased by 4.6 percent.

At the same time, energy stocks decreased by 10.1 percent.

On an annual basis, stocks of intermediate goods increased by 8.9 percent, and non-durable goods for general consumption increased by 9.6 percent.

At the same time, stocks of durable goods for general consumption decreased by 15.1 percent on an annual basis, energy stocks decreased by 5.6 percent, and capital goods decreased by 1.5 percent.

When viewed by areas of the national classification of activities (NKD), stocks of finished industrial products at the end of last December compared to stocks at the end of November in the manufacturing industry increased by 4.6 percent, while in mining and quarrying they decreased by one percent.

On an annual basis, stocks of finished industrial products in December of last year compared to the same month in 2016 in the manufacturing industry increased by 6.8 percent, and in mining and quarrying by 1.9 percent.
