Ante Todorić in Croatia, for father Ivica an increasingly likely warrant

Ante Todorić arrived in Croatia last night and expects a call for an interview at the state attorney’s office, confirmed his lawyer Rajko Čogurić to Hina on Friday. The lawyer stated that the conversation with the prosecutors should take place during the day, but they have not yet received an official invitation.

– Since they will only be questioning him, it will probably take place at the headquarters of the Zagreb County State Attorney’s Office on Savska, and not in the interrogation room on Selska Street, Čogurić told Hina.

Ante’s father Ivica, who is the only one of all 15 suspects in the Agrokor case to be ordered into investigative detention, is still not available to the Croatian judiciary, so a warrant will most likely be issued for him.

Ivica Todorić’s lawyers announced on Wednesday evening an appeal against the decision to order investigative detention only for the founder of the troubled Agrokor group, who, according to the prosecution’s claims, profited over a billion kuna.

Along with Todorić and his sons, who are not in Croatia, the suspects in the Agrokor case also include Alojzije Pandžić, Damir Kuštrak, Hrvoje Balent, Ivica Crnjac, Olivio Discordia, Marijan Alagušić, Sanja Hrstić, Mislav Galić, Tomislav Lučić, Piruška Canjuga, Ljerka Puljić, and Ivica Sertić, who were arrested on Monday. All were members of the management or supervisory board at Agrokor, while Discordia and Hrstić are employees of the auditing firm Baker Tilly, which prepared audit reports for Agrokor.

All suspects are charged with multiple criminal offenses against the economy and forgery offenses, specifically for abuses in business operations, forgery of documents, and illegal bookkeeping.
