Ivica Todorić stated on Wednesday evening that the rule of law, by rejecting the request to place Agrokor’s managers in investigative detention, has put an end to political arbitrariness, apologized to former associates for having to endure a “shameful torture” due to political persecution against him, and declared that he will fight for the truth and the exposure of a “political campaign”.

“The rule of law has put an end to political arbitrariness with the decision to reject the request for detention for Agrokor’s managers arrested in the performance of the day before yesterday. I apologize to all honorable people who, due to the political persecution against me, had to endure this shameful torture. And for all of them, I will not stop fighting for the truth that will expose this fabricated political campaign and all its actors,” reads Todorić’s statement published on his blog on Wednesday evening.
“Mockery of the rule of law”
The arrests agreed upon at Saturday’s meeting in Prime Minister Plenković’s cabinet, attended by ministers Božinović and Dalić and Speaker of the Parliament Jandroković, have now legally become a mockery of the rule of law and an expression of political arbitrariness and a continuation of political violence to cover up the own crime that brought the unconstitutional Lex Agrokor, Todorić stated, reiterating accusations against the Government.
