Bled Business School: International Presidential Forum

The International Presidential Forum is the central annual event at IEDC-Bled School of Management. The event regularly hosts 200 top business executives and government representatives from Central and Eastern Europe and beyond.

IEDC has hosted world speakers to date, including Peter Drucker in 1997, and recently Roger Martin in 2014, William Fischer in 2015, and Joe Peppard in 2016. This year, the central theme of the forum is ‘Globalization is no more. Long live globalization! – and what it means for business executives’.

In his speech, Prof. Santos will focus on:

– what are the key advantages of companies in today’s ‘global’ business environment – why smaller, local, and regional companies can successfully compete with multinational companies

– five strategies that have proven successful in implementing ‘local’ advantages

Professor Joe Santos from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France will be the keynote speaker at the Presidential Forum. Prof. Santos is a renowned expert who has directed his research and teaching towards managing multinational companies, with a particular emphasis on global integration and global innovation. His lecture will be followed by a panel of international leaders and business executives.
