Todorić Family Under Threat of Interpol Red Notice

During yesterday’s arrest operation of suspects connected to the Agrokor case, information has been coming in from multiple sources that Ivica Todorić and at least one of his sons are in London, while the story for the third suspect was either that he is in London or in Belgrade, reports N1.

Ivica Todorić announced yesterday morning via his blog that he will be available to judicial authorities. According to legal practice, individuals wanted for arrest during an investigation have some time to voluntarily report to the police.

Specifically, the Todorić family, namely Ivica, Ivan, and Ante, have some time left to turn themselves in at one of the police stations. If they are indeed currently in London, the nearest station upon arrival would be the Pleso Airport Police Station. If they do not report, a warrant and/or European arrest order will follow, if it is believed they are on EU territory.

However, given that the Todorićs are reportedly in the United Kingdom, and British courts often have a practice of not approving European arrest warrants, Interpol’s red notice comes into effect. Member states must arrest individuals on the red notice, and in that case, the only salvation from extradition for the Todorićs could be that they hold dual British citizenship.
