The jubilee 4000th issue of the Croatian business-financial weekly Economic Herald was published on October 16, 2017, and features more than one hundred pages, including a reprint of the first issue, as well as statements from over 120 entrepreneurs – readers of the publication.
“Launched back in 1953 under the auspices of the then Chamber of Commerce of Croatia, regardless of changes in circumstances and ways of working, state and social systems, numerous reform packages, and years, it has managed to endure. And not only endure, but – strongly supported by its owner, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce – to survive as a credible, analytical, serious, and verified source of economic texts and analyses,” emphasize the Economic Herald.
In the announcement, they also highlight the fact that in 64 years and 4000 issues, the Economic Herald has had only four main editors – Milivoj Huber was the editor-in-chief from May 1953 to March 1967, Ante Gavranović from March 1967 to January 1981, Franjo Žilić from January 1981 to the end of 2005, and Darko Buković has held the position for the last 11 and a half years, since 2006.
