Anka Mrak Taritaš on Arrests: It Is Questionable Whether There Will Be Enough Lawyers

Anka Mrak Taritaš appeared on HRT commenting on the current situation regarding the Agrokor case. She stated that Ivica Todorić has been looking down from Kulmer’s Court at what is happening in Croatia for years, and now he is doing so from London.

She emphasized that the entire situation was expected given the results shown by the audit of Agrokor’s financial statements, but we cannot know how the situation will unfold further.

>>>Todorić: This is a political process, aggression against me and people who are not guilty

She joked about whether there will be enough lawyers, as if the police are at around 60 addresses, everyone will have strong legal teams and who knows if there will be enough.

– The situation is very serious. We are facing long-term court processes. Since Todorić started writing blogs, he wants to impose the thesis that he is politically persecuted. That is not the case. This is about a company that was created with state support. It is about nepotistic capitalism. It is about the fact that in one company there was production, processing, and trade, which should not have been allowed, said Mrak Taritaš, adding that she expects significant damage for Croatia.
