After 24 days of filming on Vis, where Hollywood elite gathered, the last clap of the Croatian part of the filming of the feature film “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again”, the sequel to the major box office hit from 2008, was recorded on Tuesday.
More than 270 Croatian film workers and extras were engaged on set, and the producers were extremely satisfied with the experiences from filming in Croatia. On the last day of filming, the director of the Croatian Audiovisual Centre, Daniel Rafaelić, visited the set, who received excellent impressions from producer Nicky Kentish Barnes.

– I am infinitely satisfied with the professionalism I saw both on set and in the preparations for the filming itself. Croatian film workers demonstrated an enviable level of professionalism and work that was fully complementary with foreign partners, said Rafaelić, as reported by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre.
He also praised the logistics of the local authorities, the cooperation of the residents of the island of Vis, and the efforts of Croatian film workers to increase their presence in foreign productions as well as insisting on partnerships between foreign and domestic workers.
– Domestic production has shown great social responsibility by enabling Vis students, who have media culture in their schools, to visit the film set. This once again demonstrated how the incentives for foreign filming in Croatia, along with evident positive professional, expert, and economic indicators, have become an integral part of the everyday education and upbringing of our future cultural creators and consumers, he emphasized.
