‘Hic Rhodus, hic salta!’: Mensa offers to organize duel between Trump and Tillerson

The organization of the smartest people in the world has offered to organize a duel between American President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to determine who is more intelligent, reported the Washington Post.

The bizarre story about the intellectual capabilities of Trump and Tillerson began last week when several American media outlets reported that the Secretary of State called his president a “moron.”

Of all the pressing issues facing Americans with the current administration, the question of who is smarter, the president or the Secretary of State, is certainly not at the top of the priority list, yet the international association that brings together the smartest people in the world, Mensa, has offered to resolve the matter.

Trump responded with a call for a mental duel.

– I think that’s fake news, but if he said that, then we will have to compare intelligence tests. And I can tell you right away who will win, Trump said in an interview with Forbes.

White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders later called that comment a “joke.”

– American Mensa will be happy to organize testing for President Trump and Secretary Tillerson, announced its spokesman Charles Brown.

Mensa is an international organization with only one requirement for membership – a score on a standardized IQ test higher than 98 percent of the total population. There are more than 130,000 members worldwide, and in Croatia, there are just under 900.
