Ivica Todorić, in a new post on his blog, rejects what he describes as “insinuations” from the extraordinary commissioner Ante Ramljak and claims that private loans amounting to 840 million kuna were used for the purchase of shares and payment of interest.

“I am compelled to respond to the false and tendentious assessments of the extraordinary commissioner of Agrokor, Ante Ramljak, who, in order to create a sensationalist atmosphere regarding allegedly illegal expenses, misleads the public and the institutions of the rule of law. For the truthful information of the public, I therefore emphasize the facts that are well known to Ante Ramljak, yet he maliciously interprets them.

It is true that Agrokor d.d. personally granted me a loan and transferred 650 million kuna. However, it is also true that this money simultaneously went to the EBRD for the payment of their share when they exited ownership, thereby purchasing Agrokor shares. It is also true that Agrokor granted me a loan of 192 million kuna, as it is true that this money was simultaneously transferred for the interest of Pik toggle creditors. Not a single euro has remained in my private account. There is all valid documentation for these transactions in Agrokor, and there has been no hiding or illegal payments as insinuated by Ramljak.
