Artificial intelligence, rather than extraterrestrial monsters, is the focus of director Ridley Scott’s interest, who wants to make a film dedicated to this technology.
– “The story of the evolution of Alien is slowly approaching its natural end, and what I wanted to do in the last installment is to encourage the transition of the theme towards artificial intelligence,” Scott said in an interview with Empire.

– “The world that artificial intelligence could create on a new planet, where it takes on the role of a leader, is the platform from which we are starting a new film,” Scott added.

This means that in some new installment of Alien, the main role will be taken by the android David, a role played by Michael Fassbender.
