As criminal complaints in the Agrokor case pile up, the State Attorney’s Office does not wish to reveal anything, only confirming that investigations are ongoing and that the public will be informed upon the decision being made.
“The Zagreb County State Attorney’s Office is still conducting investigations in the Agrokor case and once it makes its substantive decision, the public will be timely informed,” said Martina Mihordin, spokesperson for the State Attorney’s Office, to Hina.
The first criminal complaint in the Agrokor case was filed by the president of Most, Božo Petrov, as a citizen while he was still the president of the Croatian Parliament.
Subsequently, information emerged that the police, based on an order from the Zagreb County State Attorney’s Office, are “conducting investigations” in Agrokor. Petrov reported the filing of a complaint against the owner of the Agrokor group, Ivica Todorić, at the end of March.

According to the Criminal Procedure Act, the state attorney is obliged to make a decision on the criminal complaint within six months from the date of entry of the complaint into the register and to inform the complainant with a brief reasoning for the decision, but in some judicial circles, it is considered that this is an instructive, rather than a binding deadline.
Recently, several more criminal complaints have been filed or announced.
The extraordinary commissioner for Agrokor, Ante Ramljak, stated on Monday that he has filed a criminal complaint against responsible persons who were in the Management of that group, and that according to audit reports, it seems to him that it concerns unlawfully acquired material gain.
