The world’s largest hard drive manufacturer, Seagate, has introduced the new Barracuda Pro disk, which can store an impressive 12TB of data. According to The Verge, the disk is aimed at professional creators who produce lavish content such as 4K videos or a large array of small RAW photo files.

Seagate has created this new large hard drive due to the popularity of VR and AR content. The hard drive has a speed of 7200 RPM and 256MB of cache for faster loading.
Seagate also announced a new 12TB IronWolf hard drive, which, along with the Barracuda, is part of the Guardian series designed for large-capacity storage. IronWolf allows a greater number of users access to the drive for file sharing and remote access to sales points.

Although 12TB may seem like an unnecessary amount of memory for the average user, the Barracuda is not intended for everyday users who want to store basic images or PDF files.
The disk is reportedly priced at $530 and comes with a 5-year limited warranty.
