This year’s 44th Ambienta will be held from October 11 to 15 and represents a conceptually and communicatively redesigned story about the idea, design, architecture, and Croatian production.
With its content, it continues to position itself as one of the most important business events in the wood processing industry and furniture production in Croatia. More than 300 exhibitors from 23 countries will showcase their products in six pavilions covering 20,000 square meters (7a, 7, 8, 8A, 9, 11A).
The fair will be presented through four thematic units: ambiDOM – all types of furniture, parquet, doors, windows, decor; ambiDESIGN – a zone of ultimate design achievements of the domestic furniture industry; ambiPRO – materials, equipment, machines; ambiENERGO.
Partnership with Institutions
“The wood industry has gone through a crisis in recent years and is rising again. Croatia has a large number of quality wood industry manufacturers. This is an industry that grows year after year,” said Tomislav Tolušić during the announcement of this year’s furniture fair, which is also supported by the Ministry of Agriculture. Minister Tolušić considers the wood industry to be the most important segment of the Government, as well as of the Republic of Croatia. The importance of the fair was also emphasized by the Mayor of Zagreb, Milan Bandić. Thanks to the financial and media support of the City of Zagreb, which is also a co-organizer of the fair, Ambienta is once again making a qualitative leap.
A representative exhibition segment of relevant domestic and international companies, whose presentation is complemented by professional enhancement, creates added value for both visitors and exhibitors.
In continuous partnership with the Association of the Wood Processing Industry at the Croatian Chamber of Economy, leading domestic manufacturers will present the strength and potential of the wood industry, showcasing furniture, kitchens, mattresses, carpentry products, flooring, and a range of possibilities for using wood as a completely natural material and renewable raw material to the business and professional public, as well as the general public.

The realization of Ambienta 2017 at the partnership level in the exhibition, program, and promotional segment encompasses intensive cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, the Croatian Chamber of Economy, Croatian Forests, the Faculty of Forestry, the Croatian Employers’ Association, and the components of the Zagreb Holding.
Through such unity, we communicate the strength of the business model that supports the rise of our exporters, entrepreneurs, the economy of the city of Zagreb, and the national economy as a whole.
Design Zone
For the second consecutive year, Ambienta presents a design exhibition unit called DESIGN ZONE.
In addition to renowned domestic and foreign furniture manufacturers and companies engaged in interior design and furnishing, representatives of well-known global design brands, as well as design studios, young and still insufficiently recognized designers will also be presented in the exhibition unit AMBIENTA BOX.
