3rd Scientific Forum: Smart Specializations for Smart Economic Growth

The 3rd Scientific Forum – Smart Specializations for Smart Economic Growth will be held at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek on October 10, 2017.

The aim of the scientific forum is to gather experts from the business, public, and scientific sectors to highlight key economic issues of the Republic of Croatia in the European and global context, and to present guidelines related to enhancing competitiveness, accelerating economic growth, and achieving a welfare society.

In the introductory lecture, Sanja Madžarević Šujster, Chief Economist of the World Bank for Croatia, Montenegro, and Slovenia, will present the economic position of the Republic of Croatia and the global challenges it faces.

In the panel discussion, Martina Dalić, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship, and Crafts, along with other economic and business experts, will discuss smart measures for a better economic position of the Republic of Croatia in the global environment.

The topic ‘Smart Specializations for a Better Economic Position of the Republic of Croatia in the Global Environment’ will be presented by Zvonimir Savić, Director of the Sector for Financial Institutions, Business Information, and Economic Analysis at the Croatian Chamber of Economy. In the second panel discussion on the topic ‘Smart Specializations for a Better Economic Position of the Republic of Croatia’, the presidents and members of the management boards of some of the largest Croatian companies such as Kraš, Rimac Automobili, Nexe Group, and others will participate.
