Three-quarters of Germans are satisfied with their sex life, while at the same time, a third of respondents admitted to having cheated on their partner at least once in their lives, according to a survey by the YouGov institute on the sex life of Germans published on Thursday.
According to the same survey, forty percent admit to cheating on their partner, and the same number of men believe that people are not made for monogamous relationships. More than 70 percent of respondents stated that their current partner is the love of their life.

YouGov found that the average sexual act among Germans lasts 15 minutes, three-quarters responded that they are satisfied with their sex life, and a third admitted to having cheated on their partner at least once in their lives.
While men choose to cheat for new experiences or due to insufficient sex in a committed relationship, women seek validation that other men find them attractive.

Attitudes towards pornography also differ by gender. While over half of the surveyed men consume pornography at least once a week, only seven percent of women do the same. The surveyed Germans have, on average, had sexual relations with five partners.
