Plava laguna started hiring for 2018: 750 contracts on offer, 311 permanent

The hotel group Plava laguna began preparations for hiring for the next year as early as September this year, offering 311 new permanent contracts, 439 contracts for permanent seasonal jobs lasting three years, and 862 letters of intent for employment for 2018, the group emphasizes.

– The company’s strategic commitment is to the stability and security of jobs, which is why preparations for hiring in 2018 began as early as the beginning of September, explain Plava laguna, which operationally manages the company of the same name in Poreč and Istraturist in Umag as part of the Lukšić group.

They remind that this year, more than three thousand employees worked in Plava laguna and Istraturist, of which about 1,100 are permanent or seasonal workers and nearly two thousand seasonal workers. They state that the average gross salary in Plava laguna amounts to 8,779 kuna, which is 9.5 percent higher than the national average and 14.2 percent higher than the average salary of accommodation service providers.

– The employment contracts we offered are for an indefinite period, for permanent seasonal jobs (with a minimum of nine months of work each subsequent season), for three years for permanent seasonal workers, and confirmations of employment for the next tourist season. Thus, Plava laguna and Istraturist have already offered jobs to workers for the next year this year, emphasize Plava laguna.

They also note that they recently announced the seasonal workers, where the best employees could be nominated by their colleagues, and as many as 600 workers were nominated. The reward for the declared seasonal workers is a bonus of 2,000 kuna.
