Former member of the once-popular music duo Simon & Garfunkel, Art Garfunkel intends to record an album with his twenty-six-year-old son James, who lives in Hamburg and is recording his own album in Stuttgart.
– Making a whole album together sounds promising and realistic. It seems like the right time for it, Garfunkel said, noting that his son is an excellent singer and musician.
He also revealed to reporters that currently popular music fails to interest him.

For dpa, he recounted that he often listens to music while driving, but after switching through several radio stations, he fails to find anything to his taste and turns it off.
– I think this is not a good time for America, nor for music, the singer said.
In the 1960s, Garfunkel was a member of the famous duo Simon & Garfunkel alongside his colleague Paul Simon. They recorded numerous well-known classics such as “The Sound of Silence,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” and “Mrs. Robinson.”
Their often tumultuous relationship resulted in artistic disagreements, which led to the duo’s breakup in 1970. They continued on their own artistic paths but have produced several independent albums on multiple occasions.
