We announce the most important events in Croatia for Thursday, September 28.
ZAGREB – Continuation of the session of the Croatian Parliament (9:30 AM, Croatian Parliament, St. Mark’s Square 6). The session continues with a discussion on the proposed amendments to the Law on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities aimed at facilitating the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the labor market. To expedite and simplify the inclusion of unemployed persons with disabilities in the professional rehabilitation process, it is proposed that they be directly referred to professional rehabilitation centers for rehabilitation assessment, without the need for prior expert evaluation. Until now, persons with disabilities had to first undergo an evaluation process, and only then, based on the expert’s decision, were they referred for rehabilitation assessment at the professional rehabilitation center, which significantly slowed down their inclusion in the labor market.
ZAGREB – Meeting of the Croatian Government where, among other things, the draft proposal for the law on financing local and regional self-government units will be discussed in the open part of the session (10 AM at Banski dvori (St. Mark’s Square 2).
ZAGREB – City Assembly session. The agenda includes 25 items, including the final proposal for the decision on amendments to the Decision on the Adoption of the Spatial Plan of the City of Zagreb (9 AM, St. Cyril and Methodius 5). Before the Assembly session, Green Action and the UZOR association from Resnik will hold a performance in front of the City Assembly building, asking the representatives of the Zagreb City Assembly to oppose the amendments to the Spatial Plan that the Mayor of Zagreb, Milan Bandić, wants to continue implementing, which they claim is a harmful project for the construction of a waste incinerator in the Resnik settlement (8:40 AM).
ZAGREB – The Programming Council of Croatian Radio and Television (HRT) will hold its 48th session. The agenda will include the election of the vice-president of the HRT Programming Council, the Croatian language in the programs of Croatian Television (HRT – HTV) and Croatian Radio (HRT – HR), the autumn programming scheme of HRT, as well as monitoring the fulfillment of obligations specified in the Agreement between HRT and the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the Law on Croatian Radio and Television (11 AM, HRT, Prisavlje 3, Building B – 30, 1st floor, Hall 107 a).
