The sculpture of Dino Dvornik, the biggest star and pioneer of Croatian funk, will be unveiled at the Thematic Park of Rock’n’Roll on Hatzova Street in Zagreb on Friday, September 29, when a large party “Hit Harder, Maniac” will also be held in his honor, the organizers reported.
This is the first sculpture of a Croatian musician in this thematic park, which will stand alongside the sculptures of global giants – John Lennon, Nick Cave, the Ramones, Joe Strummer, Jimi Hendrix, Iggy Pop, David Bowie, Jack White, Amy Winehouse, as well as the installations Bands Of The Decade and Queens of R’N’R.

Zagreb academic sculptor Tomislav Heršak created the monument slightly larger than life size, “in a seated position in an armchair, in a pose as if he is about to stand up, with a hat…” Haršak said to the media.
“From the very beginning of his career, Dino Dvornik had his vision of music and was persistent in creating and releasing new materials. He won the Porin music award four times during his lifetime and eight times posthumously, and besides music, he was also involved in acting. Dino Dvornik passed away in 2008,” states the organizers’ announcement.
The Thematic Park of Rock’n’Roll invites fans of Dino Dvornik, as well as those who will become fans, to a large party ‘Hit Harder, Maniac’ in the garden on Friday from 8 PM.
