The average net salary of employees in Zagreb for June amounted to 6,972 kuna, which is nominally 0.7 percent less than the previous month, but 6 percent higher year-on-year, according to data from the City Office for Strategic Planning and Development of the City of Zagreb.
The average monthly salary for June was, in fact, 5 kuna lower than for May and 379 kuna higher than for June last year.

In comparison to the average monthly salary at the national level, which was 6,005 kuna for June, the average net salary in Zagreb paid for the sixth month of this year was higher by 967 kuna or 16 percent.
In the first half of this year, the average net salary in the City of Zagreb was at the level of 6,927 kuna and was nominally 5.4 percent higher than in the first half of 2016.
Data from Zagreb statistics show that the highest average net salary for June was received by employees in the extraction of crude oil and natural gas, amounting to 12,150 kuna.
Following in terms of average net salary for June are employees in the pharmaceutical industry with an average of 10,503 kuna, while the average salaries paid in the production of computers and electronic and optical products were also above 10,000 kuna, at 10,045 kuna, and in financial services, excluding insurance and pension funds, at 10,072 kuna.
