We announce the most important events in Croatia for Thursday, September 21:
SPLIT – A thematic session of the Committee for Internal Policy and National Security will be held in Split on the topic “The Situation at Fire Sites in the Coastal Area” (11 AM, Operational Fire Command of the Coastal Area in Divulje). The host of the thematic session is the State Administration for Protection and Rescue. Along with the Committee members, representatives from the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Defense, the Director of the State Administration for Protection and Rescue Dragan Lozančić, and the Head of the Sector – Chief Fire Commander of the Republic of Croatia Slavko Tucaković will participate in the session.
ZAGREB – A round table on the topic “Being a Young Returnee and Living in Croatia” will be organized by the Youth Council of President Kolinda Grabar – Kitarović (11 AM, Pantovčak 241). In the discussion, alongside the President, representatives from relevant ministries and other competent institutions, as well as many young returnees from the diaspora who live, work, or study in Croatia will participate. Media representatives should arrive at the President’s Office by 10:30 AM.
ZAGREB – An Open Day for emigrants and Croatian minority communities will be held at the Office of the President of the Republic (6 PM, Pantovčak 241). A speech by the President of the Republic and a short ceremonial program involving representatives of the Croatian diaspora and Croatian minority communities is planned. Media representatives should arrive at the Office by 5 PM at the Prekrižje entrance.
ZAGREB – The Ministry of Demography, Family, Youth, and Social Policy, in cooperation with the National Foundation for Civil Society Development and the Ministry of Labor and Pension System, is organizing informational workshops as part of the Call for Project Proposal Submission “Support for Youth-Oriented Programs” within the Operational Program “Efficient Human Resources” 2014-2020 (11 AM, Congress Center Forum, Radnička cesta 50). The workshop will be opened by the Minister of Demography, Family, Youth, and Social Policy Nada Murganić. The total value of the call is 12 million kuna, and the informational workshops are intended for potential applicants to the call, namely associations (federations, networks, coordinations, etc.) that operate in the field of youth work and for youth, as well as local and regional self-government units and their project partners (associations, federations, networks, coordinations of associations, public institutions, and foundations). Under this call, focused on increasing social inclusion of youth, projects will be financed that will contribute to the quality implementation of youth leisure time, increasing youth awareness, and providing counseling services on topics relevant to youth, as well as preventing violence among youth, improving the development of social skills and competencies that contribute to competitiveness in the labor market and social inclusion of youth, as well as encouraging active participation of youth in society.
ZAGREB – On the agenda of the first session of the Committee for Naming Settlements, Streets, and Squares of the Zagreb City Assembly will be the proposal of the Mayor of Zagreb Milan Bandić and the Club of City Representatives Independents for Croatia, to rename Marshal Tito Square to Republic of Croatia Square (10 AM, Old City Hall, Hall D, St. Cyril and Methodius Street 5).
VELIKI BUKOVEC – The Minister of Construction and Spatial Planning Predrag Štromar and the acting director of the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund Ljubomir Majdandžić will sign Contracts for the allocation of non-repayable funds with users as part of the Call “Energy Renovation of Buildings and Use of Renewable Energy Sources in Public Institutions Engaged in Education” (9 AM, Veliki Bukovec Primary School, Dravska Street 42). These are projects for the Energy Renovation of the building of OŠ Franje Serta at Ljudevita Gaja 15, Bednja, Energy Renovation of the building of the Novi Marof Secondary School at Zagorska 22, Novi Marof, and Energy Renovation of the building of Veliki Bukovec Primary School at Dravska Street 42, Veliki Bukovec. The Deputy Prefect of Varaždin County Tomislav Paljak will also attend the event.
