The French city of Montpellier has come up with a way to save sports jerseys that arrived with a printing error – one ‘l’ instead of two – and has donated them to the American city of Montpelier, local media report.
A representative of the city administration of American Montpelier stated that the French city ordered jerseys for its professional football club and its fans, but they arrived with a printing error.

The city in southern France therefore decided to send them to Montpelier in Vermont.
It is not known how many jerseys will arrive at the address of the high school football club in Montpelier.
The news has sparked reactions on social media, with one resident of French Montpellier saying: “Please, relatives from the New World, wear our jerseys with pride.”
