The first phase of one of the largest and most significant regional journalism competitions – the Siemens CEE Press Award 2017, which includes media representatives from ten countries in Central and Eastern Europe – has concluded with the announcement of the best journalistic work on the topic “Digitalization / Industry 4.0” in each of the participating countries.
The winner from Croatia who will participate in the selection of the best journalistic works from Central and Eastern Europe is Matilda Bačelić, awarded for her article “The 4th Industrial Revolution – Soon Croatia’s Digitalization Strategy for Industry” published in Lider magazine.
“The purpose of this competition is to reward media reporting on key issues of modern society, one of which is certainly digitalization. The world has never been so interconnected in history. Billions of intelligent machines and devices generate enormous amounts of digital data every second, creating a bridge between the real and virtual worlds, and the impact of digitalization on lives and business cannot be avoided or ignored. At Siemens, we recognized this among the first, and we owe our success, among other things, to skillfully converting large amounts of data into added value for our clients,” said Sonja Nušinović Popovac, Head of Communications at Siemens Croatia.
