On the occasion of the signing of the agreement between the Faculty and the companies CADCAM Group and RIMAC Automobili, on September 28 and 29, an Open Day will be held at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Zagreb, titled “3DEXPERIENCE CADLab powered by RIMAC and CADCAM Group.”
As part of the contract signing and the ceremonial opening of the CADLab equipped with the most modern technology for design, numerous presentations and demonstrations of the CAD capabilities of the new 3DEXPERIENCE platform will take place. During the open days, all visitors to the 3DEXPERIENCE CADLab will be able to try out the new platform under expert guidance, step into the interiors of the most complex assemblies on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform with the HTC Vive virtual reality device, meet the humanoid robot Poppy created by students using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and 3D printing technology, and familiarize themselves with reverse engineering, 3D scanning, and 3D printing technologies.
This collaboration secures academic licenses on Cloud for the new 3DEXPERIENCE platform for design and product development for the CADLab for a period of 10 years, thereby acquiring the new name: “3DEXPERIENCE CADLab powered by RIMAC and CADCAM Group.” Equipping the CADLab with a comprehensive business platform that integrates various brands and solutions from Dassault Systemes, represented by CADCAM Group, enables FSB students to keep pace with the development of technologies for design and product development.
In addition to CAD functionality for 3D design, the 3DEXPERIENCE platform allows for the integration of all processes and data throughout the entire product lifecycle into an information environment with precisely defined roles and user permissions, applications for 3D design, modeling, and simulations, as well as applications for intelligent data management, i.e., data searching and systematization. It connects engineers, designers, managers, marketing, sales, and other departments and locations into an integrated collaborative environment.
