Twain, an American news application founded by an entrepreneur from Croatia, has been selected as one of the three most innovative digital products in North America. This was announced by the global association of newspapers and publishers WAN-IFRA, and competing for their prestigious awards alongside Twain are names such as the Washington Post, New York Times, ProPublica, Bloomberg, and NBC.

In its annual selection of the North American Digital Media Awards, the WAN-IFRA expert jury awards prizes for the best news portal, best social media engagement, best use of data visualization, as well as the most innovative new digital product.
In competition with the Washington Post
In that category, the media startup Twain has been selected as one of the three finalists, alongside the Washington Post, and the final winner will be announced in October at a gala ceremony in New York.
– It is surreal for us to see Twain, which has only existed for a few months, in such competition, said Miran Pavić, director and founder of Twain.

Twain Technologies Inc. was founded in the United States in 2016, and behind it are Miran Pavić, who is also the director of Telegram Media Group, and Mak Hodžić from Croatia. Twain has already been covered by foreign media and esteemed professional publications such as Nieman Lab, and it is a mobile application that, with the help of advanced algorithms and artificial intelligence, provides users with the most relevant news.
