During an audience at St. Peter’s Square in Rome on Wednesday, the Pope received an unusual gift – a family from Piacenza donated a cow named Lou to him.
– I named the cow Lou after a pilgrimage to Lourdes, said farmer Angelo Gramigna.

– She calved shortly after my return and she is the most beautiful animal we have. This gift is a dream come true, he said.
Vatican Deputy Spokesperson Paloma Garcia Ovejero stated that the cow will join other livestock on the farm belonging to the Pope’s summer residence in Castel Gandolfo, about 25 kilometers southeast of Rome.
Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, who converted to Catholicism, was also present at the audience on Wednesday.
