In nine Croatian airports, 5.2 million passengers were recorded in the first seven months of this year, which is 17.7 percent more than in the same period last year, with July contributing over 1.7 million passengers or 18.3 percent more than in the same month last year, according to data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS).

The increase in the number of passengers at all airports is also linked to an increase in aircraft operations, which totaled nearly 65 thousand or 8.2 percent more than last year. Of this, there were a total of 18.3 thousand operations in July, representing an increase of 8.1 percent compared to the same month last year.
On the other hand, cargo traffic at airports in the first seven months of this year decreased by 3 percent, to about 4.6 thousand tons, although in July there was an increase of 22.45 percent, to 922 tons.
