The Croatian company Atlantic Group has submitted an offer for the sponsorship of the Belgrade Arena sports hall, reports the Belgrade press.
Only one offer for the main sponsor has arrived at the Belgrade Arena, according to Večernje novosti, explaining that the Croatian Atlantic Group offered slightly less than the requested 1.25 million euros.
Atlantic Group is the owner of the well-known Belgrade confectionery company Soko Štark, and if it secures the sponsorship, the sports hall would be named after it during the contract period, making it one of the largest in Southeast Europe. The response could be known in two weeks when the commission for selecting the main sponsor of the Arena is expected to convene.

The contract is for five years, and if signed, the future sponsor will have the right to change the name of the facility by adding its brand name to the current one. They will also be able to place signs with the new name within the facility and control the conclusion of contracts with other sponsors, writes Večernje novosti.
The sports hall, which hosts 50 to 70 events annually, has previously been named Kombank Arena as its main sponsor was Komercijalna banka. In the coming years, major international competitions are expected – the Euroleague Final Four, the European Women’s Basketball Championship, along with the potential hosting of the World Athletics Championship and the Basketball World Cup, the Arena management states.
The area of the facility is over 48,000 square meters spread over six floors, and depending on the event – a match or concert, it can accommodate between 18,000 and 25,000 visitors.
