– An injured great white shark, found on a Sydney beach, will be returned to the ocean after a night spent in a marine animal sanctuary, rescuers announced on Tuesday.
The 1.5-meter-long shark named “Snowflake” was found on Monday at Manly Beach with surface injuries.

“It tried to return to the sea several times, but each time it ended up back in the sand. That’s why we decided to take it to calmer waters after four or five attempts,” said Robbie McCracken from the Manly Sea Life sanctuary.

The shark has been placed in a pool next to the ocean, much to the delight of numerous visitors who shared photos on social media.
McCracken says the shark should rest a bit more before returning to deeper waters on Tuesday.
