We announce the most important events in Croatia for Monday, September 4:

GOSPIĆ – The President of the Republic Kolinda Grabar Kitarović will open the temporary Office of the President of the Republic in the building of the Lika-Senj County (9:30 AM, Dr. Franje Tuđmana 4). The President will visit the Primary School “Dr. Jure Turića” on the occasion of the first day of the new school year (10 AM). She will then meet (10:45 AM) with the Minister of Science and Education Blaženka Divjak and they will jointly give a statement to the media (11:15 AM at the temporary Office of the President).

GOSPIĆ– On the occasion of the beginning of the new school year, the Minister of Science and Education Blaženka Divjak will visit the Primary School “Dr. Jure Turića” in Gospić. (10 AM, Ulica Miroslava Kraljevića 15).

SPLIT – The Minister of Science and Education Blaženka Divjak will visit the newly opened Žnjan-Pazdigrad school in Split (2 PM).

ZAGREB – A ceremonial farewell for the 7th Croatian contingent to the peace support mission “Resolute Support” in Afghanistan will be held at the barracks “Colonel Marko Živković” in Pleso (12:30 PM). The farewell will be attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Damir Krstičević and the Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces General Mirko Šundov with associates. The contingent consists of 96 members of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia, including five women. As part of the contingent, 28 members of the armed forces of partner countries are traveling to the mission area, including 18 members of the Army of Montenegro, six members of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia, and two members each from the Armed Forces of Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

ZAGREB – A meeting of the Presidency and the National Council of the HDZ will be held at the HDZ headquarters (5 PM, Trg žrtava fašizma 4).

ZAGREB – Problems and perspectives of the Croatian education system is the topic of a press conference by the SDP, where the party president Davor Bernardić, MP Sabina Glasovac, the president of the SDP Council for Education and Training Neven Budak, and the Deputy Prefect for Social Affairs of the Krapina-Zagorje County Jasna Petek will speak (12 PM, Iblerov trg 2).

ZAGREB – The Education Union Vertical will hold a press conference on the position of teachers at the beginning of the school year, where the president of the Croatian Teachers’ Union Sanja Šprem, the president of the Independent Union of Employees in Secondary Schools of Croatia Branimir Mihalinec, and the macroeconomist of the Independent Union of Science and Higher Education Matija Kroflin will speak (11 AM, Ulica Florijana Andrašeca 18a, 1st floor).
