The main star of the museum in Geneva, a two-headed turtle named Janus, celebrates its 20th birthday on Sunday.
This turtle would likely not have survived so long in the wild due to its anomaly. However, at the Natural History Museum in Geneva, it enjoys special treatment, including daily baths and time spent under UV lights to keep its shell strong.

Its heads live separate lives, and one of them is more dominant, stated a museum staff member who takes care of Janus.
Attempts by the heads to steal food from each other always attract the attention of a large number of museum visitors.
The turtle Janus, named after the Roman god depicted with two faces, hatched in an incubator at the museum in 1997.
