A London-based company in the music sector offers its employees the option to take sick leave the day after a drinking spree to recover from a hangover and be fit for work again.
“Our employees no longer have to make up stories about catching some ‘nasty 24-hour virus’ or change their voice pretending to be hoarse over the phone. It’s enough to tell the boss what really happened,” states Dice, a company specialized in selling concert tickets via smartphones.

Everyone has had a night where they ‘overindulged,’ so from now on, it’s enough to send the boss an emoji of “beer,” “sick,” or “music,” and he will understand what happened.
The company aims to encourage its employees to fully enjoy the London music scene to perform their jobs better.
“Music is in the blood of our entire team, and some of the biggest music contracts have been signed right after a concert,” explains Phil Hutcheon, founder and owner of Dice.
Employees will be entitled to take four days off a year for sobriety.
