In the finals of the best European holiday accommodation award, 12 Croatian tourist facilities

In the finals of the best tourist apartment or holiday home in Europe, named the European Holiday Home Award, 12 Croatian accommodation facilities have made it. The official announcement of the winners will take place at a gala dinner on September 14, organized by the European Association for Family Tourism EHHA, of which the Community of Family Tourism HGK has been a member since March.

– Such success of accommodation facilities from Croatia is a confirmation of the work of the Community of Family Tourism at HGK in improving quality by promoting specialization, branding, and education developed through the annual cycle of national and cluster Family Accommodation Forums through which more than 6000 family accommodation hosts are educated, commented the president of the Community of Family Tourism at HGK Nedo Pinezić.

The categories in which it was possible to compete are the best accommodation for holidays in a European capital, the best beach accommodation, the best family holiday accommodation, the best green accommodation for holidays, the best pet-friendly accommodation, the best health and wellness accommodation, the best unique holiday place, and the best accessible accommodation for holidays.

The nominees from Croatia are Villa Vista Zamask, apartments Peljesac-Sreser, holiday house Verudica, Villa Sea Edge, Holiday Villa in Split, Villa Falcon Rook, Makarska-Gornje Podbablje, Villa Milica, Villa Prosika, Split-Srinjine, Zminj-Vadediji House Ulika.

After the first phase, the expert jury selected eight finalists for each category, among which there are even 12 from Croatia, or at least one in each of the categories.

– A total of 425 accommodation facilities from 18 countries were registered with a total of 640 nominations. The highest number of applications by country came, after Spain, precisely from Croatia, specifically from Istria and Dalmatia, and indeed the finalists are from those regions, emphasized the vice president of the Community of Family Tourism at HGK Danijela Čavlović, who is also a member of the Evaluation Committee for the European Holiday Home Award.

HGK reminds that in September applications will open for the awards for family accommodation as part of the action “Tourist Flower – Quality for Croatia”, and applications can be submitted via a form that will be published next week on the HGK websites.
