Applied Ceramics, as the project holder of the Entrepreneurial Incubator Sisak – PISAK, has been granted 6.5 million kuna in non-repayable funds for the project application titled “Start with PISKOM!” from the European Regional Development Fund through a public call from the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts within the OP “Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014-2020.”
This is the second phase of the development of the Entrepreneurial Incubator Sisak – PISAK and a continuation of the successfully implemented first phase of development initiated in 2014, which resulted in the complete occupancy of the existing capacities of PISAK.
By developing and improving the quality of services of the Entrepreneurial Incubator Sisak – PISAK, the availability of entrepreneurial business infrastructure for small and medium-sized enterprises is increased to facilitate their growth and development with the aim of creating opportunities for the opening of new jobs. The total value of the project amounts to 6.8 million kuna, of which as much as 95% is co-financed by the EU.
The project “Start with PISKOM!” enables further growth and development of entrepreneurship in the Sisak area, and provides additional opportunities for the local and regional community to implement local economic development policies, while offering micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) a one-stop business solution with shared services in a new and original way.
Implementation of the project
Through the implementation of the project “Start with PISKOM!”, an additional 1,745 m2 of existing business space on the II, IV, and V floors of PISAK will be made available to entrepreneurs, within which 32 new functional-spatial units (offices, production-storage modules, meeting rooms, multifunctional conference rooms, etc.) will be equipped.
