Vrdoljak: HNS will not participate in reshuffling

President of HNS Ivan Vrdoljak, following Prime Minister Andrej Plenković’s decision to dismiss three ministers from Most, dismissed on Thursday the possibility of parliamentary reshuffling involving HNS, but stated that he would be willing to participate in discussions regarding a possible national unity government.

>>>Plenković requested the dismissal of three Most ministers

– Of course, there is no reshuffling; if they cannot function, we need to go for new elections. However, the question is what we actually gain from new elections. The political system is polluted, Croatia is seriously politically endangered, but also economically and financially, said Vrdoljak in an interview with 24 sata.

He stated that HDZ is collapsing its own majority for the second time, without providing solutions or taking responsibility.

– They are not solving reforms, they are collapsing the Government for the second time; this is complete irresponsibility towards the citizens, said Vrdoljak, adding that this is the first strong move by Andrej Plenković.

>>>Šalaj: I am sure that the Prime Minister has a plan that does not include early elections

– If Plenković has an idea for a national unity government in the short term, I will be ready to sit at the negotiating table. We do not want to participate in any reshufflings. A national unity government is broad and would gather numerous parties. If extraordinary elections occur, it is clear that HDZ and Most no longer function, then Most could form a coalition with SDP, said Vrdoljak.
