38-year-old Retired Millionaire: This Habit Leads to Wealth

Chris Reinin is 38 years old, has millions of dollars in his account, and is in a unique retirement – he works whenever he wants, whenever he wants. Everything he wanted to achieve, he accomplished in his thirties. How? In an interview with CNBC, this IT expert revealed the trait that made him a millionaire before turning forty.

He started by getting a job in the IT industry, renting an apartment, buying a BMW, and dining out every day. He lived quite casually, as he was doing a job that was financially rewarding. However, he was not completely satisfied.

– I wanted to be free to do whatever I want, whenever I want, and wherever I want, he said.

Therefore, he set himself the goal of creating a portfolio worth at least one million dollars and, until he achieved that goal, to change his spending habits, that is, to save. Very quickly, he disciplined himself to the extent that he successfully set aside half of his income each month, which he then invested in various bonds on the stock market. How successful he was in this is evidenced by the fact that by the age of 35, he had one million dollars in his account, and two years later, he decided to retire. All of this was possible due to one single decision.

Automation of Finances

Reinin automated the way he collects contributions and everything else related to tax payments, which, as he claims, saved him a lot of time and money. In the Croatian context, the simplest example of such automation would be paying the second pillar of pension insurance via a standing order.

– Don’t stop at pension insurance. Every month, through automation, you can pay off loans, credit card debts, and similar, this millionaire advises. You can do the same with life savings. Reinin says it is worthwhile to set aside a certain amount of money via a standing order and automatically transfer it to your preferred savings model. – I automated my money a long time ago, and the advantage of that is that I don’t have to constantly make decisions about what to do with my earnings, how much I can spend monthly, and whether I will be able to save as much as I wanted, says the young retiree.

Besides simplifying your life, you will never find yourself in a situation where obligations pile up. This is a “trick” you can start applying today.
