– The investigation into potential economic crime at Agrokor is one of the most complex that the Croatian police have ever conducted. Extensive police forces led by the police USKOK are involved, and the police are closely cooperating with the State Attorney’s Office in the investigation, said Interior Minister Vlaho Orepić in an interview for N1.
Orepić stated in that conversation that the ministry is working to process and locate those responsible for the situation at Agrokor, and when asked whether it was possible for a single company to jeopardize the entire economy without crime, the minister said: – In my opinion, no. Agrokor is a synonym for the political, social, and economic relations that emerged after criminal privatization. I believe this is a breaking point for such relations, and I hope that normal economic, social, and political relations will be established in the economy after Agrokor.
