The luxury hotel chain Four Seasons plans to start construction of a luxury tourist complex in Brizenica Bay near Stari Grad on the island of Hvar by the end of the year, with an investment worth around one billion kuna expected to create approximately 320 new jobs, it was stated on Thursday ahead of a meeting between Tourism Minister Gari Cappelli and representatives of the chain.
In this tourist complex in Hvar, Four Seasons will build 240 accommodation units, with nearly 800 beds, including a hotel with 120 rooms and around 70 luxury villas and apartments.
“We hope that the construction of this luxury tourist complex could begin by the end of the year, with completion expected by 2019,” said Dennis Wijsmuller, CEO of Arqaam Capital, the main investor in the project.
Strategic Project
Bojan Batinić from the Agency for Investments and Competitiveness (AIK) emphasized that this project was included on the list of strategic projects last year and is at a high level of operational readiness.
He added that the issuance of a location permit is expected, which will define the scope of the project and the number of building permits.
