The European start-up FlixBus, with the largest international bus network, is expanding its line network in continental Croatia with the start of the new season and a new wave of bus lines. Starting from April 27, the city of Čakovec will enter the line network for the first time, while Osijek and Vukovar will be further connected to new destinations in Slovenia and Germany.

Since entering the Croatian market about ten months ago, FlixBus has unified nearly 100 destinations across Croatia with almost 1,000 destinations throughout Europe. With the addition of new destinations in April and the connection of new cities, a wave of international green lines has begun.
By entering the green network through various combinations, travelers have access to 1,000 destinations and 20 European countries.
– We quickly recognized the need for better connectivity of the continental part of Croatia with the rest of Europe, and for the upcoming season, we have included Čakovec as a new destination, while we have connected Vukovar directly with Ljubljana and Frankfurt, and extended Osijek all the way to Pforzheim and Karlsruhe. Consequently, this connection also leads to excellent connectivity with many tourist destinations in Europe, said Petra Milanović, Public Relations Manager for FlixBus CEE South.
Development Strategy for 2017: FlixBus Emphasizes Passenger Satisfaction
In addition to launching new lines from Croatia and expanding to other countries in the CEE region, FlixBus focuses on services and innovations. Therefore, FlixBus has initiated a new development strategy in 2017.

Recently, FlixBus has been integrated into Google Maps, allowing users to easily find the appropriate FlixBus connection alongside other transportation alternatives.
Among other things, FlixBus offers technological innovations such as sending notifications via the FlixBus app about possible bus delays, thus aiming to improve the quality of travel for users. This has made the FlixBus network accessible to Google Maps users worldwide. The mentioned collaboration and combination between different transportation alternatives is a very important step towards the development of a broader European transportation concept.
