About the Crisis in Agrokor, the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina Will Soon Discuss

The crisis in the Agrokor group will be the topic of discussion in the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina based on a decision made by the House of Representatives of that parliament during a session in Sarajevo on Thursday.

At the proposal of the representative of the Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SDP BiH) Denis Bećirović, the House of Representatives made a decision instructing the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina to prepare a comprehensive report for the next session on the consequences that the crisis in Agrokor could have on the companies within that group operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina and their suppliers.

He assessed that this is a problem that directly affects the entire region and could have serious consequences for Bosnia and Herzegovina, and he requested information from the Council of Ministers with the observation that it is evident that the governments of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Srpska approach this issue from different positions, not giving it the appropriate attention.

This alluded to the fact that the FBiH government has so far held two separate meetings with representatives of Agrokor’s companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina and their suppliers, while the RS government, despite announcements, has not initiated such contacts at all.
